Making a statement with bold red lips

Fall/Winter fashion isn't just about bold statement pieces. Makeup plays a big role in adding that extra punch to your outfit that you originally though a handbag could fill. Adding a bold lip to any outfit can make you look like a million bucks. Red is the ultimate go to lip for every woman who wants to add a little drama to her look. Studies actually found that men pay attention more to a woman when she is wearing red lipstick-- not that we care about what men think because we wear makeup for ourselves (DUH), but it just goes to show just how drastic of a change a red lip can make to your overall look.

Choosing the perfect red can seem hectic, and as you find yourself frantically searching through 1000 shades of red at the Sephora store, keep in mind that there are essentially only three shades of red: the blue, orange and pink undertones. If you're more of a warmer skintoned person, aim for an orange or pink red. If you're olive, go for orange. If you are on the more neutral or pink side of the spectrum, go for a blue undertone.
